Interim England boss Lee Carsley has named his first squad for upcoming games against Ireland and Finland.

The Three Lions head to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on 7 September before returning to Wembley Stadium three days later for the visit of Finland in the Nations League.

Carsley is naming his first squad since taking over on an interim basis from previous manager Gareth Southgate, who led England to two finals during his time in charge, but resigned after losing to Spain at the end of this summer's Euros.

Four players have received call-ups for the first time. They are Newcastle United's Tino Livramento, Lille's Angel Gomes, Chelsea's Noni Madueke and Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White.

Elsewhere, Manchester City's Jack Grealish and Manchester United's Harry Maguire are among the players recalled after missing out on Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2024.

Speaking after the squad was announced, Carsley said: "I think it is fair to say the job that Gareth and Steve (Holland) did and the position I am picking the squad up is totally different to when they picked it up.

"I understand I am in a really privileged position and I am excited to meet up with the players."
